VIDYA’s School Partnership- Spoken English program aims at filling the gaps in quality and holistic education in lower economic schools. School Partnership conceptualized after realizing the need for spoken English skills in vernacular medium schools.
In today’s world English is the language for international business and knowing how to communicate in English provides new avenues to our students. Even the MHRD of India believes that English as a second language is of great importance to all of us. English is the language of opportunity, social status and increasing social elasticity but at the same time it is constantly expanding the distance between the elite and the socially marginalized. The comfort and improved proficiency also helps them in bettering their academic grades and subsequently pursue higher education. In India English is also used on the World Wide Web to access information and thus affects the day to day lives of our beneficiaries.
VIDYA’s School Partnership, Spoken English program aims at filling the gaps in quality and holistic education. School Partnership-spoken English conceptualized after realizing the need for spoken English skills as aids to further education opportunities and future employment avenues for students from marginalized backgrounds. Armed with this skill, students go out into the world as more eloquent and confident individuals.
The curriculum of Spoken English has been designed and developed keeping in mind these three pillars. It executed by well-trained, experienced and qualified teachers, with the aim to help students perform better academically, pursue professional educations, and improve their employability options.
Additionally, it helps students enhance their confidence and gives them insight into various general knowledge subjects and current affairs. The use of different tools and teaching methodologies like role play, audio-visual aids, games, activities, puzzles, etc. exposes them to an interactive and informative way of learning and imagining the world.
