Bhadrasen Neigi, NIOS

One of VIDYA’s early success stories is that of Bhadrasen Neigi, who overcame immense challenges with the support of the organization. After running away from his home in Himachal Pradesh in 5th grade, Bhadrasen found a new path through VIDYA’s educational programs. His dream of becoming an engineer came true, and today he works in Silicon Valley at a leading technology company. Inspired by his journey, he now gives back by offering scholarships to children from his hometown and building a school for those in need.

Riya Mandal, Bal Vihar, New Delhi

Riya, daughter of a cook, excelled academically and was elected head girl in 2022-23. A multi-talented student with strong verbal and writing skills, she stood first in class 5 and secured admission to DAV Model School for grade 6. Riya’s creativity and dedication have made her a standout student in both academics and extracurricular activities.

Anurag Gupta, Bal Vihar

Anurag, son of a tiffin supplier, joined Vidya Bal Vihar in nursery and later secured admission at Modern School for grade 6. A bright and creative child, he excels in academics, storytelling, and oratory. He has won awards from Katha and Sanskriti for storytelling. His sisters, Neha and Nisha, are also Vidya alumni, attending prestigious institutions. Anurag’s journey reflects his out-of-the-box thinking and passion for learning.

Dhiraj H, NIOS Program, Mumbai

Dhiraj, a mentally challenged student with co-morbidities, found support through VIDYA’s NIOS program after being excluded from formal schooling. With tailored guidance from educators, Dhiraj successfully passed his class 10 board exams with a score of 73.4%. His journey is a testament to the power of inclusive education and perseverance.

Bhujel Sisters, Sanskriti Program, Bangalore

Munu and Anju Bhujel, orphans raised by their uncle, joined VIDYA’s NIOS program in 2021. They developed a passion for karate through the Sanskriti Program, earning belts and winning medals in open championships. Munu is on her way to becoming an assistant trainer, while both sisters continue to excel in their studies and martial arts.

Tharika, Scholarship Program, Bangalore

Tharika successfully graduated through VIDYA’s scholarship program and now works at a multinational corporation, providing crucial financial support to her family. Despite the loss of her father, Tharika remained dedicated to her education and achieved her goals through hard work and perseverance. Her journey reflects the positive impact of VIDYA’s support, as she not only excelled in academics but also inspired other scholarship students to pursue their dreams.

Hemanth, Scholarship Program, Bangalore

Hemanth, a B.Com student at Loyola College and a VIDYA scholar since 2017, consistently excels academically and socially. Elected President of the VIDYA Scholarship Program’s Student Council, he has been honored for his achievements and now works as a Graduate Trainee at State Street.

Tushar Prajapati, VIDYA School Gurgaon

Tushar, a class 12 graduate from VIDYA School, secured an impressive rank of 8318 (OBC-NCL) in the JEE Advanced Exam and is now pursuing B.Tech at IIIT Jabalpur. Hailing from a modest background, his success reflects the transformative power of education. His sister is also a VIDYA alumna, now working at Indigo Airlines.

Geeta Devi, Mandira Margam, Gurgaon

Geeta, a mother of three, transformed her life after joining VIDYA’s Shringar Program. Now a skilled beautician working with Urban Company, she supports her family financially and has gained confidence in managing clients. She expresses gratitude to VIDYA for equipping her with essential soft skills and creating new opportunities.

Mamuni Pradhan, Mandira Margam, Gurgaon

Mamuni, a mother of two from Orissa, moved to Gurgaon eight years ago. Through VIDYA’s stitching program, she gained the confidence to earn a living. Now part of SHG Jagriti, she regularly takes tailoring and craft assignments, contributing to her family’s livelihood.

Gayathri Devi, Mandira Margam, Gurgaon

Gayathri, a mother of two, joined VIDYA’s stitching program during the COVID-19 lockdown. Now part of SHG Jagriti, she excels in tailoring and regularly takes on customized orders. Her determination to support her family has led to a new sense of independence and self-reliance.

Neha Viswakarma, Shringar, Mumbai

Neha completed VIDYA’s Lakme beautician course and secured a position at a local salon. With encouragement from clients, she pursued her entrepreneurial dream by securing a loan to open her own salon in Bhandup, Mumbai. Neha’s journey is a testament to her perseverance and entrepreneurial spirit.

Vishal Paudel, VIDYA School Alumni

Vishal, currently pursuing a B.Sc. in Computer Science at Prakash University, Mohali, dreams of contributing to space research in India. Despite financial constraints, VIDYA’s scholarships and support enabled him to pursue higher studies. Vishal’s passion for algorithms and determination reflects his desire to make a meaningful impact.

Usha Purushottam, Women Empowerment Program, VCoE South Bangalore

Usha, a participant in VIDYA’s empowerment programs, transformed her life after a personal accident left her working from home. Through VIDYA’s courses, she gained new skills and started a small stall selling products. Usha also contributed to a historic Guinness World Record by crafting granny square crochet pieces.

Wahid Shaikh, Digi Skill Mumbai

Wahid, an 18-year-old from a middle-class family in Malad, Mumbai, overcame financial challenges with the help of VIDYA’s data entry courses. He now works as a Sales Officer at Silaris Company, earning Rs. 14,000 monthly. Wahid’s journey reflects the transformative power of VIDYA’s programs in enhancing employability.

Ayush Jadhav - Bhavishya-Yaan, Mumbai

Ayush, a Bhavishya-Yaan student, secured an impressive 97.40% in his SSC Board Exam. A diligent and engaged student, Ayush consistently attended classes and participated in school events, even during the COVID-19 pandemic. His teachers are confident that he will continue to achieve great success in his future endeavors.

Soham Sachin Nalawade - Beyond School, Mumbai

Soham, a 9th-grade student from Chaitanya Nagar, transformed his academic journey through VIDYA’s personalized support. Despite family challenges, Soham’s interest in science blossomed, and he gained confidence in communication. His journey from a struggling student to a confident learner exemplifies the power of personalized education and support.
