As a differently abled child with co-morbidities, Dhiraj’s life has been filled with challenges. He faced rejection and exclusion from formal educational institutions but found a new path with VIDYA NIOS. Here he found a supportive community, and a compassionate staff who understood his needs and tailored the education to suit him.

Munu and Anju lost their parents at a very young age. They moved to a migrant colony in Bangalore from their village in West Bengal with their uncle and joined the VIDYA NIOS program in 2021. At VIDYA Center of Excellence, they not only pursued their education but also got a chance to realise their dream of learning Karate through the Sanskriti program. The two have defied all odds and emerged as Karate Champions.

“I bought my husband a scooty so that he doesn’t have to ride his 15-year-old bicycle again.” Geeta Devi learnt about the Margam Program from her daughter who attends the VIDYA school. She completed a six-month Shringar program and is now a salon service provider with Urban Company.
