School Partnership Model

VIDYA’s School Partnership Model bridges gaps in education and skill development for marginalized communities through partnerships with government schools, low-income private schools, NGOs, and educational institutions. The programs emphasize holistic learning, focusing on academics, life skills, and digital literacy.

  • Bhavishya-Yaan: In partnership with Rotary Club, this program enhances spoken English, life skills, and computer literacy across 7 BMC schools in Mumbai, improving students’ employability.
  • Public-Private Partnership (PPP): Conducted in government schools, this program focuses on academic enrichment, life skills, and digital literacy, fostering creativity, critical thinking, and communication through innovative audio-visual learning tools.
  • Beyond School Program: Operating within government schools, this program strengthens students’ performance by offering communicative English, digital skills, life skills, and remedial teaching support. It aims to boost student confidence and academic success through holistic education.
  • Digital Empowerment Program (DEP): Provides students with essential computer skills, coding knowledge, and logical reasoning, ensuring they are digitally literate and equipped for the future.

Community Model

For four decades, VIDYA’s Beyond School Program in communities has been dedicated to transforming marginalized communities in Mumbai and Bengaluru through integrated after-school education programs, aligning with the UN SDGs of Quality Education and Reduced Inequalities. Operating within established community centers, the program primarily focuses on supporting government school children through innovative after-school interventions, while engaging their families in holistic development initiatives.

The centers provide structured educational support including academic reinforcement, digital literacy, life skills development, and personality enhancement programs, complemented by parent engagement activities. Through innovative teaching methodologies and strong partnerships with local schools, these centers foster sustainable educational development. Over these decades, this approach has transformed communities through improved academic performance and enhanced learning outcomes, with many first-generation learners accessing higher education, creating lasting educational impact across generations.
