Success Story: Raju’s dream
Raju works as a domestic help and comes from Nepal. His dream is to be a Computer Engineer and he came for admission to The VIDYA School and joined in class V from the Happy School. Today Raju is in class IX and is a highly committed and extremely hard working student. He studies during the day time and works in the evenings, cleaning cars, washing dishes and helping with domestic chores. No matter how long his day is he never looses his inspiration to study and completes his homework every night.
The family he worked for, was not happy with his interest in studying and he was forced to leave the house. Now Raju lives in the School itself with the School guard. He prepares his own meals and is often worried about his brother, his only relative, also India.
No matter what the obstacle, Raju is an ever smiling and cheerful student, He is putting in his best to excel in academics and secured 75% in the annual examination in class VIII. He converses well in English and actively participates in extra-curricular activities such as dance, music and art and all School activities. He involves himself completely in the school projects and other class room activities. He is willing to shoulder responsibilities and displays excellent leadership qualities. He is a good listener and communicator, especially, when he takes care of the juniors in the school. We know that one day Raju will make an excellent engineer and make his family and all of us really proud of him.
